Designed as a batch prepared mix that is bursting with the essence associated with festive period, which makes it excellent for hosting a holiday party. Save the extra cordial for morning drinks, puddings, or for additional servings of the drink.
The Bikini Cocktail
Yields 10 guests
For the Clementine Syrup (yields 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (produces 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine cordial (see above)
A few cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
For the Syrup: Place every ingredients inside a pot, heat until it reaches a light boil, agitating to dissolve. After that, take off the heat allowing it to cool completely. Transfer into an clean bottle, close it and store in the refrigerator, it can be stored for up to one month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Mix every liquid ingredients in a large bottle, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then filter it , ideally through cheesecloth, so it's fully clarified.
For serving: Pour 85ml of your cocktail base to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and agitate carefully for a minute until cold. Pour into an frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, garnish with the cranberries adding the final touch with a quick spritz of mandarin oil over the top.
